Gather 'round: Scary Tales from the North Woods with Carol Ann Reed

Thursday August 27

6:00 PM  –  7:30 PM

What do you actually know about the North Woods?

Minnesota and Wisconsin are home to some of the most beautiful and unexplained wilderness in America. For centuries, these lakes and forests have generated stories that resist easy answers: creatures seen by credible witnesses, disappearances that search teams couldn't explain, and ancient traditions that describe things living in these waters and woods that are still talked about today.

Carol Ann Reed, host of the podcast and YouTube channel The InBetween, brings these stories to life in an evening of campfire storytelling at Norway House. Settle in, gather close, and prepare to see the North Woods a little differently on your drive home.

The evening will open with us learning a little about the storyteller herself. How did Carol Ann decide to start her podcast and YouTube channel? Would she ever camp alone in the North Woods after all the stories she's collected? What advise would she give to someone who's just bumped into a Bigfoot on the way to the outhouse? Then, the storytelling begins as Carol Ann tells a curated collection of tales that happen in the places that we know and love.

The evening will be part history. Part mystery. And entirely unforgettable.

There will be time for questions afterwards. Arrive early and enjoy a Nordic meal and a glass of beer or wine at our Kaffebar.
